General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

SprachHorizont-Hannover

1. Services offered

SprachHorizont-Hannover offers vocational German courses for professionals, private lessons, company courses, online courses, classroom courses, German courses for trainees, and exam preparation courses. These courses are aimed exclusively at adults.

2. Registration and conclusion of contract

Registration for our courses is possible via our website or in person on site.
A binding contract is only concluded when the registration is confirmed by SprachHorizont-Hannover in writing or by email.

3. Terms of payment

Private individuals must pay the course fees in full in advance before the course begins.
Companies receive separate payment arrangements: Part of the course fee is due upfront, and the remainder is paid in agreed installments. The installments must be paid in full by the end of the course at the latest.
Payment options currently include PayPal; additional options may be added in the future.

4. Withdrawal and cancellation

Cancellation free of charge is possible up to 14 days before the start of the course.
In case of cancellation later than the start of the course, 50% of the course fee will be retained as a cancellation fee.
The full course fee is due from the start of the course or in case of non-attendance.
Cancellation must be made in writing (by email or letter).

5. Course implementation

Courses will generally only be held if a minimum of 12 participants is reached. If this number is not reached, SprachHorizont-Hannover reserves the right to postpone the course, offer alternative courses, or cancel the course altogether.
If the course is cancelled, the course fee already paid will be refunded in full.

6. Liability

SprachHorizont-Hannover is not liable for course cancellations or delays caused by force majeure, illness of the teacher, or technical problems during online lessons.
Further liability claims are excluded.

7. Copyright

All materials provided during the course (e.g. scripts, worksheets) are protected by copyright.
Reproduction, distribution or forwarding of the materials is not permitted without the express written permission of SprachHorizont-Hannover.

8. Rules of conduct and online teaching

Participants are required to behave respectfully in class.
In online classes, participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and suitable technical equipment.
Recording lessons is only permitted with prior written permission from SprachHorizont-Hannover.

9. Final provisions

Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
The place of jurisdiction is Hanover, as far as legally permissible.
